Day 2
We have safely landed and experienced our first day in Fiji! It’s been quite the trip so far and looks like we’re in for an experience of a lifetime. We found out that our building was just
finished a couple days before we arrived so there is still work to be done. Let’s say that whatever luxuries that I have grown accustomed to don’t exist here. For example, I will be hand washing all my clothes, dishes are done by hand, air conditioning, what’s that? The hardest adjustment to come is sharing a tiny room with two other guys. I have grown accustomed to having my own room, so sharing an 8′ by 12′ room leaves room for character development.

Monday we started our first clinic with the Australian team and had 96 Fijians show up to be trained! This is the largest clinic that has been held in the South Pacific! God has been faithful as we have worked through some of the logistics that come with such a large group. Yesterday morning I prayed that God would surprise me. That afternoon, as we went out to one of the villages, we shared the gospel with 18 kids. By the time we finished and asked if any of them wanted to pray to receive Christ, all of them raised their hands. Can you believe it, 18 people all at once. Pretty crazy. Well, I am off as we have to teach our local church ee tonight. Thanks for keeping us in your prayers!
much love

Many of you may be wondering where I am, and that’s a great question. As we all know, we have been working towards me working full time with EE. After several conversations, plan are being made that will get me the experience and knowledge I need to run EE’s short terms trips. The first step in this process is having me stay in Fiji for an extra two weeks to help run another EE clinic. This week we are preparing for the Grand Opening of the EE training center we have been staying at. To my knowledge we have invited just about everyone possible and look forward to showing the place. We are also preparing for another clinic the following week with a group from Biltmore Baptist in North Carolina. Please keep praying as these last 2 weeks have been really draining as we have said goodbye to various friends and what feels like family. Last week we said goodbye to the Fijian boys who had been helping out, then to Emma and Katie (two Australians who stayed on after the clinics), Shelley, and then Allie. Saturday we said goodbye
to Wil, Kayti, Kelsey, Ben, Chris, and Seth. It’s been hard to watch everyone leave, but I am excited for what God has in store for these next two weeks.

Home sweet home! It’s been a little over a week and it’s already beginning to feel like I’ve been home for a month or more. No worries, God will not let me forget what He taught me this summer, and the way He moved powerfully to change lives. The reason for this email is to
let you know that within the next month or so I want to put together dessert parties to bring everyone together (by major cities) and share what God did this summer and what the next steps for our ministry will be. Again, I can’t tell you enough as to how much God used your
prayers to change lives and how thankful I am to have been a part of that.
